CHAPEL OF VICTORY
Among the founding members of this Church was Pastor Bisi Tofade. He was converted to the Lord about 22 years ago and has since been involved with leadership and ministry organization.
He was the president of his college fellowship for 2 years and served as the Bible study coordinator of the Nigerian Christian Corpers fellowship during his service year in 1990. He also served as the national vice president of the college ministry of the Gospel Faith Mission. He was the principal of Jubilee Believers Basic School in Nigeria and also taught at the Jubilee Bible School.
Pastor Tofade was ordained at Jubilee Christian Church, Nigeria and
now serves as one of her pastors.
In 1989, Pastor Tofade graduated from University Of Ife now Obafemi
Awolowo University with a degree in Pharmacy. He successfully operated his own retail pharmacy business before he left the shores of Nigeria for the US in 1998 with specific vision and direction from the Lord to spread the
good news.
He is happily married to Pastor (Mrs.) Toyin Tofade, a highly anointed woman of God and they are blessed with two delightful sons. Pastor Toyin Tofade is also a pharmacist. She works at Wake Medical Hospital and is also a faculty member at the UNC Chapel Hill as a clinical assistant professor. Chapel of Victory located in the fast growing Research Triangle area was inaugurated on the 19th of August 2000 at Hampton Inn, Chapel Hill, by the will of God. Since that very first day, the Lord has been speaking and confirming His word to the leadership and the members. We continued with Sunday
services at the Homewood suites located on Miami Boulevard. Finding a site was quite a challenge BUT God is faithful.
On December 31, 2000, we ushered in a new era having our night watch service at Meadow drive (our current location). And our congregation continues to grow. With over 350 active members, we have been thriving diligently to procure a facility that will accommodate us. We recently purchased several acres on Prospectus Drive in RTP, NC and we plan to break ground soon. Once completed, our new church will be able to seat 500 individuals with an academic wing and fellowship hall. |
